The Ouverture treble matches the flute Ouverture of '4me Concert de Farinelli pour le Nouvel an 1703' a fourth lower (transposed), rhythm included; the bass (1.1.2) agrees with flute incipit 1.1.1 only where it imitates it. The comparator record suggests that suite may be assembled from independent pieces, so the overture's authorship is open. One of the Cambridge quartet arrangements (9th Sett).
